Our Impact
SDG 17: Partnership for the Goals
Challenge
There is a significant lack of collaboration and coordination among key stakeholders in the recycling ecosystem. The absence of effective engagement between manufacturers, waste management companies, policymakers, and consumers has led to:
- Limited adoption of sustainable recycling practices.
- Gaps in the recycling value chain, making it difficult to ensure a consistent supply of recyclable materials.
- Slow progress in policy development that could encourage industries to transition toward circular production models.
To close the recycling loop and maximize efficiency, there needs to be a coordinated effort to bring together all players in the recycling sector.
Key Intervention
Established partnerships with waste pickers, recycling associations, manufacturers, and technology providers to streamline the recycling process.

Outcome
- Improved recycling efficiency through stronger waste collection networks.
- Increased adoption of sustainable recycling practices across multiple industries.
Lessons learned
- Collaborations with industry players drive systemic change.
- Transparent communication fosters trust and accelerates sustainability efforts.
